歐洲聯賽 - 拉素 3:0 艾夫斯堡

Lazio were extremely convincing in the first-leg of their Europa League tie against Elfsborg as they strolled to a 3-0 victory at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Swedes were brightest in the very early stages, but the Italian Supercup winners soon took control and goals from Aleksandar Kolarov, Mauro Zarate, and Stefano Mauri sealed the deal.

Striker Denny Avdic hit the post on 13 minutes, but it was not long before Kolarov gave the hosts the lead with a trademark piledriver from distance.

It was all Lazio from that point forward, as summer signing Julio Cruz had a goal ruled out for offside before Zarate picked up where he left off last season with an effort from 20 metres to double the lead after half-an-hour.The Swedes tried to find a way back in the second half with a few half-chances, but Mauri ensured there was no way back for them in the first-leg when he chested the ball down and poked home from close range with just 20 minutes remaining.

The clean-sheet was kept in tact by veteran defender Sebastiano Siviglia, who cleared an effort off the line in the final stages of the match. Thus, Lazio take a healthy three goal lead into the return-leg next Thursday.
